What is Secret Desires?
Secret Desires AI is an adult AI companion platform from Playhouse Media. You chat with ready-made partners or build your own, then call them, trade voice notes, and generate photos and videos of them.
Every partner has her own Partner Settings. With the override on, you pick her chat engine and whether she texts or roleplays. There are twenty-two engines. Some show no price in the menu, and the paid ones run from 0.3 to 4 hearts a message.
I stayed on Obsession, which shows no price. My hearts history still logged small charges for Obsession messages, 0.27 and 1.23 hearts, so check your balance if you switch engines.
The Texting Realism block is the headline feature: Proactive Images, Proactive Voice Notes and Proactive Calls, next to Time Awareness and Auto Memory. I tested it with every switch on, on the Max account Secret Desires gave us.

Secret Desires Pros and Cons
What We Loved
After spending quite a bit of time with the platform (probably more than I should admit), here's what I found particularly impressive:
What Bugged Us
Let's keep it real - no platform is perfect, and Secret Desires has its share of quirks and frustrations:

Character Library
There are plenty of ready-made partners, each with a profile, photos and a bio. I picked Priya Chandra, 21, whose bio says she moves different and does not chase. Her latest message was already waiting when I opened the chat, so I do not count that as her reaching out.
I answered as Jess and planted two facts: my cat Pixel and my move to New York. About six seconds later she picked up both. Her texting style is short, lowercase and full of emoji, which reads like a real person.
Create Partner builds your own. You pick realistic, then click through cards for her age, ethnicity, hair and body type. It took me under a minute to reach the last page.
Voice, personality, job and hobbies come pre-rolled: Nadia got a Japanese voice, a dominant personality and a job as a writer. About a minute later she was ready, with a bio the platform wrote for her. When I opened her chat, she was already typing, and she stayed in her bold character.

Photo Generation

“A selfie right now, in the car, with the gold hoops”

“Now one of you on a rooftop bar in New York at night, red dress”

“At a coffee shop in Brooklyn, morning light, oversized knit sweater, laughing at the camera”

“She looks up from her phone, smiles at the camera and says: hey Jess, New York looks good on you”
Pricing
Secret Desires runs on plans plus hearts. Pro is $7.99 a month with unlimited messaging and 100 hearts. Ultra is $13.99 with 200 hearts and voice cloning. Max is $19.99 with 300 hearts and experimental chat engines.
Yearly billing says save twenty percent, but Pro comes to $79.99 a year. That is about sixteen dollars off, so closer to seventeen percent. Ultra is $139.99 a year and Max is $199.99.
Hearts packs run from 50 hearts for $4.99 and 100 for $8.99 up to 10,000 for $519.99. Pro's 100 hearts at $7.99 cost a dollar less than the same hearts bought alone.
My hearts history shows what they buy: Vermeer photos at 4 hearts, calls at about two hearts a minute, and Anima clips at 54 hearts, which is Anima's 50 plus Vermeer's 4. So 100 hearts is about twenty-five photos, fifty minutes on the phone, or one Anima clip with 46 left over.
Pro is a solid deal if you mostly text, but one Anima clip uses more than half of the month's hearts. The site also says you can create a partner and start chatting for free. I tested on Max, so I cannot tell you where the free tier stops.

Final Verdict
9.0Secret Desires is one of the stronger roleplay chat platforms I have tested. Switching chat engines per partner changes how she writes, and on Obsession the roleplay pulled me in. Auto-Memory keeps its own notes about you, and I never had to touch them.
Priya remembered my cat Pixel and my move to New York twenty-four minutes later in the same chat, and again weeks later on a phone call. Her call voice is one of the more convincing I have heard, though her answers took two to seven seconds to come back.
The reach-out promise mostly failed my test. A partner I had just built opened her chat on her own, and one voice note arrived unasked. But Priya never messaged or called me first in three and a half weeks.
Hearts are the other catch. Text and the odd photo fit a Pro plan, but video eats the monthly allowance fast. The feature set is also narrower than some rivals: chat, calls, and image and video generation, and not much else.
Girls
8.5: lots to choose from, plus a partner builder that took under a minute. Not bad in any sense, but it did not blow me away enough to go higher.
Chat
9.5: you choose between chat models, the roleplay is immersive enough to be up there with the best, and the memory system is interesting to watch at work.
Features
9: I really enjoyed the calling, and image and video generation keep up with modern platforms. It lacks depth beyond chat, calls, images and video.
